2. How is Glow Tours different from other paddleboard events?
Unlike rental-based paddleboarding, Glow Tours is a fully guided experience. It is not a fitness class, but keep in mind that paddleboarding is a physical activity. Whether you're an experienced paddler or a complete beginner, you can enjoy the tour at your own pace. If you prefer, you can sit comfortably on the board rather than standing for the entire tour, making it accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Our Lotus staff ensures your safety and enhances your journey with curated soundscapes and glowing LED boards, creating a truly magical nighttime adventure.
3. What age group is eligible to participate?
Glow Tours is strictly for adults 18 years and older to maintain a mature and respectful environment.
4. Do I need any prior paddleboarding experience?
No prior experience is necessary! Our tours are designed for all skill levels. Our Lotus staff will provide guidance to ensure everyone feels comfortable and enjoys the experience.
5. What should I bring to the tour?
We provide everything you need for your Glow Tour, including a paddleboard, paddle, and PFD (life jacket). Since our boards are equipped with a specialized LED wire system, bringing your own paddleboard is not permitted. However, if you'd like to bring your own PFD, you’re welcome to do so.
Here are a few optional items you might consider bringing:

Water: Staying hydrated is essential, especially during physical activities.

Shoes you don’t mind getting wet: You’ll be walking ankle-deep in water to access the boards.

A waterproof camera: While you can bring one to capture your experience, we also supply our staff with cameras to take photos for you—so there’s no stress about getting your phone wet.

A dry bag: If you'd like to keep personal items dry, this can be helpful. Alternatively, you can securely lock your belongings in our trailer.
For your convenience, portable and running water restrooms are available at the location.
6. What are the safety guidelines?
Safety is our top priority. Please adhere to the following guidelines:

No alcohol or substances are allowed before or during the tour. We reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone under the influence.

Listen to and follow all instructions from our Lotus staff.

Staying with the group. For the safety of being seen by other water crafts please stay with the group.

Please stay sitting or kneeling until you're at least 10 ft. away from the shoreline or shallow water.
7. What is the cancellation policy?
At Desert Lotus Paddle Boards, all sales are final, and no refunds will be accepted. However, we understand that plans can change, so we offer the following flexibility:

If you are unable to participate, you may reschedule your special engagement for a future date (subject to availability).

To reschedule, you must provide at least 24 hours’ notice and call our office directly to arrange the new date.
Please note that failure to meet this policy will result in forfeiture of the full amount.
Important: Desert Lotus Paddle Boards reserves the right to cancel any tour, event, or lesson before departure for any reason. If we cancel, you will receive a full refund.
8. Is there a Fee at Lake Pleasant?
Maricopa County Lake Pleasant Parking Fee is $7 per vehicle. Fee is paid at the Entry Gates and is valid to use for the remainder of the day. Parking site is right up to the shoreline and is accessible to all types of vehicles.
9. What if the weather is bad on the day of the tour?
Your safety is our priority. In the event of severe weather, the tour may be rescheduled or canceled. We will notify you as soon as possible if any changes occur. Please make sure to give us your best available contact information so we can update you.
10. Where is the tour located?
The tour is located at Fireman's Cove at Lake Pleasant. Take the North Entry Gate and follow our signs to get to the Cove.
